First phase of training program conducted for Assistant Claims Investigation Officers of Land Claims Settlement Department

The first phase of the training program for Assistant Claims Investigation Officers of the Land Claims Settlement Department was conducted under the chairmanship of Mr. Chulananda Perera, Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Lands on 09.12.2022 at the Survey Department Auditorium.

The former secretary of the Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government S.D.A.B. is the main resource in this training program. Mr. Boralassa participated, Land Commissioner General Bandula Jayasinghe, Additional Surveyor General (Registration of Claims) Sudath L.C. Lectures were given by Mr. Perera, Mr. Nishanka Wijesiri, Deputy Registrar General of the Registrar General's Department.

A special feature of this program is the discussion of problems arising in the process of title registration through case studies.

Over 350 assistant title investigation officers from regional offices in the Western, Southern, Uva and Northern provinces participated in this training program which was conducted under the guidelines of the Commissioner General for Land Claims Settlement Mrs. Chandima Sigera and coordinated by the Association of Assistant Title Investigation Officers.
